The Parks and Recreation Department holds a 5K Walk/Run in the Fall during the Smalltown America Festival. Several sponsors including Coca-Cola and many local businesses enabled this to be a success. Race facilitated by John's Walk/Run Shop out of Lexington KY. One-hundred sixty two runners/walkers participated in the 2009 event.
